Last weekend, Eric and Patrick spread out the concrete beams and then the styro panels were put in place.
Getting close to the point where cement can be poured.
Today, however, the Mistral is blowing like crazy and has already blown away two panels.
The wind around here can be unnerving!

The shower upstairs is advancing as well.
We realized that we'll need to go with glass block shower walls, since the other glass wall option was 700 euros - too expensive.
I love my clawfoot tub, but having a shower option is going to be wonderful.
And last but not least, the stairs have been smoothed with a self-leveling cement. Ahh! What a difference that makes!
And today I will be attempting to smooth cement onto the vertical part of the step. Wish me luck.
We'll find a good handrail, and we'll be set for guests!
(Jeff and Carol, if you're reading this, we would be pleased to accept you as guests some day!)
Bigwig is growing every day (especially his ears!) and we're still not sure if he's a rabbit or a hare.
He roams the house freely now, when Jacky is out, and is eating solid foods.
He must miss his siblings; he loves to be held and caressed.
OK, time to check those styro panels and mix up the stair cement.
Big love from Pertuis!

A-OK on Project Vertical Application. It's like frosting a cake, and we both know how fun and retentive That can be!
